This week, I’ve been reflecting on something that keeps me grounded amid the chaos of life: the importance of having a goal you’re chasing, no matter if anyone else gets it or even cares. In a world full of noise and opinions, your goal is yours—it’s the fire that drives you, the North Star that guides your steps. Whether it’s building a blog like mine, diving into entrepreneurship full-time, or something wildly personal, sticking to it when no one’s cheering is where the real growth happens. Let me share a raw story from my week that hammered this home. I was in a car wreck—nothing dramatic like a high-speed chase, just a sudden slam that totaled my car. Metal twisted, glass shattered, and in that split second, everything stopped. But here’s the miracle: I walked away safe, a bit shaken but unharmed. As I stood there staring at the wreckage, gratitude washed over me—not just for being okay, but for the reminder that life can pivot in an instant. That event jolted me into thinking about the bigger picture. It reminded me why it’s crucial to involve others in your plans, especially if the worst happens. We chase our goals thinking we’re invincible, but death is the great equalizer—it ties us all together, no exceptions. What if that wreck had gone differently? Would my loved ones know the ins and outs of my blog, my work with those five strategic companies, or my StoryBrand coaching? Would they have access to the vision I’m building? And just as important, do we have the insurances in place to protect and provide for those we love after we’re gone? Life insurance, wills, even simple conversations—these aren’t morbid; they’re acts of love that ensure your legacy lives on. This ties right back to chasing your goal relentlessly. When no one understands why you’re pouring hours into something—like my leap into full-time content creation and marketing—it’s easy to second-guess. But events like this wreck scream: keep going. Your goal isn’t just for you; it’s a piece of the adventure you’re leaving behind. Embrace the unknown, the critics, the solitude in pursuit—because life’s too short not to. And while you’re at it, loop in the people who matter. Share your plans, get the protections sorted, and chase with peace of mind. Here’s my challenge for you this week: think about your big goal—the one that lights you up, even if others don’t see it. Write down why it matters to you, then share one piece of it with someone close (a plan detail or a “what if” talk). And if you haven’t already, take a quick look at your insurances—make sure they reflect the life you’re building. If you’re up for it, reply and tell me about your goal or how this resonates—I’d love to hear. Life’s adventure is unpredictable, but your goal? That’s the torch you carry. Keep chasing, keep planning, keep loving. With gratitude for every moment, Justin PS - I have a weekly update that I will include on my dreams below, this is something I have been doing personally for more than 2 years now, and it is my guiding light for how I make decisions and decide what I want to be doing and chasing. Journal Entry: This week, I’ve been focused on dialing in a solid sleep schedule around my night shift at WinCo, and let me tell you—it’s been a challenge, but I’m loving how my life is set up right now. Flipping to nights means tweaking everything: powering through the shift, crashing for a deep nap in the morning, then rising refreshed for the day ahead. It’s not always smooth—those first few days felt like jet lag on steroids—but I’m finding my groove. Short power naps, consistent...
Journal Entry: This week, I’ve been thinking about how I’m reshaping my days from the usual 24-hour grind into a more intense, focused 12-hour cycle—and surprisingly, it’s working wonders. With my night shift at WinCo kicking in, I’ve flipped my schedule: stock shelves from 11 PM to 7:30 AM, grab a solid nap or sleep to recharge, then dive into my handyman business for a few hours in the afternoon. Another quick rest, and it’s back to the cycle. It’s not your typical routine, but it’s giving...
Journal Entry: This week, I’ve been reflecting on something that’s both vulnerable and vital: sharing your feelings with the ones you love and diving into those difficult conversations. Life’s too short to bottle things up—whether it’s telling someone how much they mean to you or addressing a tough issue head-on. Those talks aren’t easy; they can feel raw and risky. But here’s what I’ve learned: they build deeper connections, clear the air, and often lead to breakthroughs you didn’t see...
